One of the company’s main products was oil (thus the name) and marketed to bicycle and typewriter interests. Articles along these lines. Ads for bicycles, typewriters, accessories, Caton’s Nerve Tonic and Vitalizer, baldness cure, hand loom, manual adding machine, curling irons, oil, many more. Pink wraps. Minor chips. 04917-M0496CERU- Clipped Ads- BICYCLES. Three clipped ads. Two are high wheel machines advertised by Simmons Hardware Co., in St. Louis papers of 1880. Ea is 4" x 4-1/2". Different gent in each graphic. Third is from a NY paper of 1901, from Siegel Cooper Co and has graphics of a man's and woman's low wheel bicycles. It measures 4-3/4" x 7-1/2". All ads have the date line at top. Slightly age-toned. All three. $32.00

Eastern Riders Fare Well." 23-1/2 column inches includes three engravings: "The Wheelman's Paradise At Chicago" (race track) and two cuts of men on bicycles (low wheels). Back has another engraving of the Desplaines Street building with nice street scene. Page numbers indicate it was compiled from components of the general catalogue, a somewhat standard practice. 7pp of large bicycle engravings, 5pp accessories including tires, gas lamps, seats, bells, railroad attachment (bars and rail wheel enabled rider to ride the rails with bicycle!), and much more. Also a velocipede and a tricycle. 4pp testimonials, cover 3 has large ad for "4 pound, 1200pp catalogue''. Covers age-toned, some foxing. Another rare beauty! 8-1/2" x 11" x 20pp. $285.00
