Don’t know if this company is related in any way to the later Coleman Co or not? Several nice engravings of this combination evaporator, baker and refrigerator (ice box). It consisted of a wooden cabinet with racks, a heat chamber and flue outlets. In several different models. They claimed it could also be used as a clothes dryer, and that it would pay for itself in four to eight weeks. Also a small engraving of an apple parer which “works on entirely new principles.” Light damp stain along lower edge, otherwise very good. Delightful item! Oblong format. 8-1/2” x 6” x 8pp. $32.00

marketing method was house to house. Very large half-tones and engravings,
some full page, are meant to impress the families to whom agent was pitching.
Cover vignettes depict salesmen and saleswomen calling on homes. A real trip
down memory lane! Complete lines of general merchandise-- silverware, aluminum
ware, kettles, vacuum washers, all kinds of kitchen ware; shaving goods
including more than 10 pages of straight razors, brushes, strops, etc. Mops,
lace curtains, cutlery, 4 pgs of pocket knives, clocks, rugs, stereoscopes,
rubber sundries, vacuum cleaner/sweeper, lots of gray enamelware, tools,
cobbler outfit, many beautiful scissors for every use, spice cabinets, fly

The rug pages are extraordinary; here’s a baby carriage page with two little ones and the nanny on an outing, and a page of "Dolly Varden" blue and gold dinnerware, an oil cook stove, and a full page with the "Majestic" cream separator and mother and daughter. The Graybar No.15 Clothes Washer - A Simplified Washer.
Ingenious features before the days of modern washer. It worked this way:
Wash first batch, remove and put in basket above water for spinning; put second
batch in water for washing. In other words, spin and wash took place in same
tub, but one above the other! A brass split rivet bound folder filled with
brochures, a glossy photo, parts list, newspaper ad cuts for dealer, facts
about the washer market, suggested demonstration and sales talk, etc. Very good

pictured with gasoline engine), rotary speed iron, speed iron attachment for
portion of wash mach, large stationary ironer, a “semi-commercial”
washing machine, a large commercial washing machine, the Thor “Double
Benefit” health lamp (“furnishes both infra-red and ultraviolet rays”),
and the Thor Juvenator. This is a motor that can be attached to a door or wall,
and has a tummy shaker belt. The last page promotes Hurley Soap powder for the
washing machines. A scarce item and in excellent condition, except for cover
fading around edges. Coated stock, stiff cover.
